Canker sore treatment

I know many of us have dry mouth issues, and along with that can sometimes come canker sores/mouth ulcers. I found a product that works wonders for me, and I wanted to share. It's called Zilactin-B. It's OTC, but somewhat hard to find in stores. Several pharmacies and Amazon carry it online, though. You paint it on, and it actually forms a bioadhesive seal. Most canker sore meds just help with the pain, but this actually seals it off to help it heal. It even works so much better, for me anyway, than the "magic mouthwash" doctors often prescribe.

Anyway, just thought I'd pass it along since so many of us have dry mouth problems. It burns a little when you put it on, but it's nothing compared to the intense pain of the sore itself.

Lol, Sherrine. If it worked for me, I would have a field day with it. Sadly, it doesn't. Or maybe I just don't take enough.

To be honest, Sherrine, it actually never occurred to me to try it, lol. I should have since we all know rum is a cure all. I'm glad it actually works for you; I thought you were kidding. Maybe I should invest in some and try it. I've tried pretty much everything else under the sun.

I seem to be pretty susceptible to canker sores, and nothing was working. This stuff just provided instant relief. AHHHHHHHHHH.

I've found that listerine works well for me. But as a preventative, before I discovered I was allergic to dairy, I found that eating yogurt with active bacteria every day helped prevent them. If I had a sore I'd put some of the yogurt on it for as long as I could stand not swallowing it.
