Helpful Advice on Finding New Primary Care Dr.?

 

Hi everyone!  Early this year, my Primary Care Dr. (PCD) moved to another practice that is about 45 minutes away and boy do I miss him.

After talking with multiple Dr's to find one closer, My DH and I choose a new PCD and now, he is leaving the practice and going primarily into Sports Medicine.

It's so stressful to start this process again, I was hoping to get some advice from our family of fibrites on what they'd do if they had to find a new PCD?

I've looked at a few sites for Fibromyalgia PCD's and there were none listed in my area.

I'm even considering calling my PCD that moved and sucking up the drive because I know how compassionate and caring he is to all of his patients.  The only downside is when one feels "really, really, really" sick, who wants to drive that far?

Brenda, I see that you are from NE Ohio. If you are close to Streetsboro, I know of a doctor that will listen and understand.

Thank you but, I live in Cuy Falls so to travel to Streetsboro would be same as where my 1st Dr. moved - Green/Uniontown area.

I finally started getting better when I finally found the right naturopath dr. He spent an hour with me for the first few visits and we really worked hard to figure out how to relieve each symptom that I was having. Not all naturopaths are covered by insurance though so that might be something that you would want to discuss with the office if you aren't able to spend the money. I used my flexible spending account from work to pay for it. Worth every penny! Good luck!
