Hi there I have fibro..... All I want to know do any of you get pains like period pains??? Every day?? And reflux it's doing my head in and making me very scared thankyou xxx

I have interstitial cystitis and have period pains and problems with my bladder. Sometimes I feel I'm in active labor. And reflux. Ugh. Sympathies to ya.

I have that!! And I have a 5cm cyst on my left ovary as well but they said that won't cause my pain x

The cyst will certainly cause pain. My granddaughter has had two cysts and her mother had several, and all of them were painful. What do you do for the interstitial cystitis? Some people with IC are also diagnosed with PID (pelvic inflammatory disease), which can cause a lot of problems, also. You might want to check out the interstitial cystitis page on FB. There is a lot of good advice there.

If you have a 5cm cyst on your ovary, it can absolutely cause pain. It may be causing ovarian pain, or it may be aggravating surrounding tissue, causing pain there too. I know this from personal experience. I don't have IC, but from what I understand, the pain from it can be pretty constant and severe.

As far as reflux goes, a lot of people with fibro have it for some reason. The thing that has helped me the most is elevating the head of my bed using bed risers.

My reflux is so bad that the radiologist who performed my barium swallow said I'd have to sit at 37 degrees or higher to get relief from the reflux. He said just raising the head of my bed wouldn't work for me.

I have fibromyalgia for years (just recently diagnosed) and have very similar pains to what you are talking about.  I have had a uterine ablation to take care of the pain with no relief from that.  Found out that it's all related to my fibro.  Thought I had some crazy female thing going on and there's nothing really wrong--just fibro pain.  Yes.  I have cramping all the time.   I understand your frustration.

Thankyou all for your kind messages!!! I can't cope with it very well.... I have back ache my knees ankles elbows wrists back chest neck head ibs hurt all the time on and off..... It's very hard to deal with I have health anxiety too gerd and a hiatal hernia and I'm 9 weeks pregnant as well :-( not the best time of my life at the moment xxx help!!!!!!!! I feel like I weigh thousand stone and all my muscles feel like they cramping and feel so tight and they just ache like hell! Xxx
