I try to do my 'sitting down' work--things like sorting paperwork, going through any old magazines, work on my hobbies, and when it's at its worst, I just sit and write down a long list of things I want to get done.
I don't start working on the items on the list til I'm feeling better, but even crossing off a few small things can sometimes motivate me.
Great topic! I like Joy's ideas. Looking forward to others' ideas, too.
