I haven't posted in here for awhile. Hello fellow suffers. Anyone willing to talk to me about blood test? specifically Sed Rate, MPV and CRP. My test showed these were not in normal range as I had suspected. what is seed rate for folks with fibro?

Hi DandyGal: Every time I have the sed rate test, my results are normal. In fact, a few months ago, all my blood tests came back in the normal range (I was shocked--most of them are usually 'off').

I just did a quick search on 'sed rate fibromyalgia,' and noticed many incidents came up where someone with fibro had an elevated sed rate. I didn't check the MPV and CRP, but wonder about those, too.

Since I also have something neurological going on (nonspecific), that could be the reason mine was in the normal range, at least this time. Odd though, since last year, my blood tests were all over the place! For some reason, though, my sed rate remains stable, which is always a surprise to me.

Looking forward to reading others' replies.

MPV has to do with the size of your red blood cells. If too big the can't carry oxygen right. Take vitamin B6 to fix this.

SED rate is how much inflamation is going on your body. A cut can raise the rate.
CRP I can't remember right now. It's getting too late for me to think clearly. :-0

CRP, if it is really high, can be an indication that you have an autoimmune disease. It's also a test for inflammation in your body. Mine fluctuates.
