The weather is 18 degrees right now.. A big jump from last weeks 65-75 degrees. I'm always freezing cold and I can't stand it..I must be very sensitive to the cold. I cant ever seem to warm up. My wife won't stop turning the heat down so its starting to cause problems lol.
Anyone else very sensitive to the cold?

I hate it and I live in Michigan. Strange right? I use to love winter because I cross country skied. I want to try that again, but I think I am afraid of failing. I Have old skis but can't find the boots. So it is frustrating. I know when I was skiing, I wasn't ever cold. I had a lot of energy. But that was some twenty years ago. I feel like fibromyalgia has had me stuck in the muck for many years.
I try to move around as much as possible so that I feel warmer. But lately my hands and feet have been cold. I guess it is time to drag out the long johns, Ha!!!
Have you got a warm sweater that you can wear. When we have really cold nights, I heat up two bed buddies and put in the bed by our feet. It stays warm for a long time. Maybe try one.
I hope you warm up and I hope we have an easy winter.
Hugs, Karen...

I'm going to try use this to my advantage and see if I can talk my husband into another trip down south for a warm weather break this winter. ;) Hey...it HELPS, right? lol

I work in a very LARGE building that does not have heating or a/c. Some people were wearing shorts and a T-shirt today..while I wore a hoodie and jacket with jeans. I keep the hoodie on all day but seeing those walking around in shorts blows my mind. Something has to be wrong with me :(

I'm a hot natured person except for my feet and hands. Today I'm wearing shorts and tshirt but I need my thick socks on. My feet feel like ice today.

My knees start to really hurt when it gets cold, right now it's almost freezing outside, or feels like it anyway and my knees are throbbing. They are calling for snow tomorrow (it never snows here let alone in November) so I'm sure I'll be hurting tomorrow too.

It looks like a lot of us don't do good in the cold. Cold and damp really gets to me. I am almost glad it is snowing, because it has been raining so much. When it snows, I think that most of the time, the air is dryer.
I think I am usually hot natured too. But I went through menopause and I get hot flashes sometimes. Yuck...
I Hope you all have a good and pain free night...
Hugs, Karen...

I was just telling my husband this past weekend how cold I've been lately. While at the weekend Mass, my feet were just freezing. It wasn't cold in there, but just from having been out in the cold, I couldn't warm up. My husband suggested thicker, but looser socks and said tight socks or shoes can make your feet feel colder.
I'm also now dressing in layers. Turtlenecks are nice under heavy sweaters. I took out my warmest mittens, too, so hopefully I'm ready for the really cold stuff. We just have about
an inch of snow on the ground, but my cats seem to think it's January! :)
Hope you warm up soon. Also, placing a heated bed buddy in bed before you get in really helps. Or, of course, an electric blanket.

You can blame my state for all the cold. It was a huge tropical storm in the Bearing Sea. The funny thing about
it that it caused a warm up here. Our temps are 45 degrees which is spring weather for us. We have no snow on the ground too. Plus it doesn't look like we are going to get some in the near future. There is very little on the mountains. The bears are confused too because people have seen them out in yards. No need to hibernate yet I guess! Lol
I live in Alaska and I kind of wish it would snow because I have new studed tires on that wear easily on regular roads.

I absolutely hate the cold. I just have to suck it up and accept the fact that I'm going to be cold all the time for about
6 months. I try not to dwell on it, but - ugh. Just undressing to put my pjs on at night is unpleasant. And getting out of the shower is awful...I have to have a heater in the bathroom!
I'm so happy when Spring starts peeking out and we get some warm breezes....it's one of the big highlights of my year.

I have mixed feelings. The cold definitely makes my fibro pain and stiffness worse, but it helps my hot flashes.
I just try to dress in layers so I can put on or take off as needed.

I'm in Wisconsin. Cold. I ache all over. Terrible head ache. It's the initial shock of the change that gets me. I went out yesterday in denial that it was SO cold and didn't wear a neck scarf. My shoulder and neck stiffened up and needed the bed buddy. I want to hibernate until May. :)
This too shall pass.

Me. Cold hands and feet. Must be winter. I am in the Greater Toronto Area in Canada. We have been having snow flurries since last week. My Niece bought me fluffy socks to wear to bed. I only need them until my feet warm up. I've no use for Winter and I don't Dream of a White Christmas. We had so much snow and ice last winter. Hope it won't be so bad. Being bundled up outside makes you so heavy.

My husband and I splurged on a Hudson Bay wool blanket last Christmas, and it is just amazing. We stay so warm and cozy all night even though the thermostat is turned way down. I never knew that a quality wool blanket could make that kind of a difference. Highly recommend…expensive, but worth every penny. Got ours from LLBean.

Well the cold is finally down in Georgia. I've got my cold weather jammers on tonight. I've even got my furry blanket on my bed. I found a nice thick furry blanket that feels like a soft teddy bear. :D

Pennsylvanian here. Yup. Hate the cold and I used to be a skier. I can sometimes manage a cross country ski jaunt around the yard on a good day. Part of my toleration of the cold seems related to humidity. That 30-40 with rain is the worst. 15 or lower and dry doesn't bother me so much. 20-30 degrees hate--unless it is snowing big fat fluffy snowflakes. (Maybe it's just that they are pretty, don't know).
