Sure know what you mean. If you push yourself too much you do suffer. Keep in mind that when you move and are active your body releases endorphins. You don't feel as much pain. When you stop and take a rest the affects of overwork occur. I used to work endlessly in my garden. When I went to bed the pain started to ooze out of my body. I can't do it anymore.
I have had to lower my standards and try to accomplish a bit each day with rest breaks. Am I behind, yes. Odd thing about chores, they are still there day in and day out. You clean and then something else needs cleaning. Yes, pain is always with you. I am so glad when I fall asleep and pain is put to rest.
Take care.
