Great idea, Sherrine! I have been thinking about
this very thing. I used to keep a 'thankful journal' and would write down things that blessed me during the day that I wanted to thank God for. I should pull it out and continue it.
Let's see.... my garden is in bloom right now and I'm enjoying it so much after a winter filled with 'brown'. I was counting today that I have 6 different colors of geraniums and they are all in bloom (fushia, red, white, light pink and white, bright pink and bright salmon). My radishes are ready to be picked along with artichokes, radishes, Swiss chard and lettuce. I enjoy my yard so much.
I took the day 'off'. I rarely do this but decided I needed a day of rest (before THE day of rest). I fixed meals and did dishes but the rest of the day I answered emails, started a bible study on self-pity, did some research, updated my budget and just plain enjoyed myself.
Oh, and my daughter stopped by.
