Fibromyalgia and Cannabidoil...

I am allergic to Anti Inflammatories like Voltaren etc...

so for 20 years i am on Meds that they usually give for epilepsy to control my fibro... it is working up to a certain stage...when I go thru a stressing time the fibro pain is bad bad bad...and then the pain is bad bad bad.. and because i can not take anti inflammatories i battle. I now take meds topirimate (Topamax 200mg pd, Molipaxin 100mg pd, Deselex (antihistamine) and also Trepiline50mg pd).. i also got Osteo Arthritis in my Lower back and for that I take some Tramacet because the Tramadol gives me a reaction...i think it is too much of a anti inflammatory drug.

My question actually is... anybody out there that is using Cannabidoil (CDB) or medical Cannabis for Fibromyalgia? I am 55 years old and believe that i still have got a lifetime ahead of me which I want to be pain free if I can....

yeah Welcome Ina,

This question has been brought up and discussed before. If you use the Search for: marijuana , you will find some previous posts for Fibro as well as other conditions.

I do! My daughter who has had fibro since age 18 does as well. I hate THC and balked at her suggestions for five years. Now that I use the lotions and edibles I can't imagine not doing so. Zero "high" but mild to total relaxation depending on how much I need.
I also use tinctures.
Ok, now this is important, get a card and find a really good clinic with highly knowledgable patient retailers! You can go in and wind up buying a mix of both but the P R tells you it's 20/1 CBD!
Check around, read labels and start slowly, low dosage. Try a few products until you find what's right for you.

Yes, I do. I think of it as another tool in my kit. I take edibles every day because it keeps my really nasty nausea at bay. At night, I use a sublingual tincture to help me sleep. Finally, I use a balm on trigger points when they're not playing nicely. I agree with Lucinda-start slowly & only use reputable clinics. My dispensary delivers, which is a great plus, if it's available to you.

I Dont have a script and it isnt legal here, but I tried some of the hemp alternatives which do not require a prescription. I started wth a tea and an ointment. The tea worked well, but I could not sbide the smell. I had the same problem with the ointment. It seemed to help, but the smell drove me crazy. I since found Arnica ehich I have better luck with. I cant take internally because of my stomach, but the lotion works well.

I gave the tea and ointment to my sister who has back issues and she told me it reslly helped.

firstly I want to say thank you very much to all the replies.

I am staying in a country where it is not legal to have these drugs ..but i sooo wish i could just take it for a trial period to see if it will help me especially because of my allergy towards anti inflammatories....

But I will do some more research may be come and visit one of the countries where it is legal.. turn tongue

God will make a way where there seems no way.

I use a CBD muscle rub from The Fay Farm that is amazing for my pain. Using it regularly actually keeps pain levels down, but I can also use it as needed wherever there is pain and see instant improvement. I've thought about trying to the cbd vapor stuff. I'm not in a medical cannibus state, but cbd oil (if it comes form hemp plants) is considered a supplement and legal in most states.

Thank you very much...I will definitely research more into this hemp plant that you talk about. Does it look like like a Cannabis plant?? Will I be able to buy it easily at eg a Nursery or am I now just plainly stupid? will it be easy to make ur own oil or rub? I am asking these questions and I dont even know how the plant looks like...it is in times like these that I am sooo grateful to God for Google.....because that is how I got onto Healingwell.com!

Making the oil is a science. There are recipes found on the Internet for marijuana oils but, again, unless one understands the various ways to extract each part of the plant it can't really be done. I believe hemp products are found in natural pharmacy that sell organic medicines/supplements.
