Curcumin

Curcumin is a supplement made from turmeric, the spice. Anyone use it? My PT mentioned it to me.

There are so many variations of it out there..tried a couple ..no miracle but each of us is different so research brands and bio-availability...

I am taking new chapters tumeric force..i think its called..not a miracle but kept me from having to up meds..its a whole plant supplement..so many times they take a plant and just give us 1 of the active ingredients...call me a cynic , but then they can resell you the other half of the plant...: )

I used a product called Curamin. It helped me some but I needed more than it could offer. It is a good product and does help many with arthritis.

I took it for a year or so when I was waiting to get into a new rheumatologist's office, and my PCP wasn't happy about prescribing painkillers.

It did some, but not a lot.

I haven't tried it, but it sounds promising.

One thing: I recently read that turmeric can interfere with Coumadin (warfarin):
