Lj has a great post. Sometimes, we need to slow way down when we're in a flare and do things like light housework and wait to do the bigger 'stuff.' This week I had a (thankfully) short flare, but during that time, I did some paper work and also went through some warranties (some out of date--good time to toss!).
If possible, take time for something relaxing, like a good book, prayer, funny movie, (non-"marathon") fun shopping, soothing music, pets, etc. A nice warm bath helps.
I agree that sleeping so much is hard to deal with. I found I had to get a little extra sleep for a while, then gently move ahead with the day. Even short naps (without sleep) can help. But if I have a virus or something, I do give in and sleep more in general. I think it's all about pacing.
