I keep my skin care routines very simple. Make-up is for weekends only, with a rare exception. I gave up on perms for my very straight hair about
20 years ago. Now it's just above shoulder length and I curl it on weekends, if I'm up to it.
Sitting in the chair at the salon and especially leaning back against the sink was agony (my poor neck!).
For some odd reason, sometimes just standing in one place and doing something (like washing your face) can be more of a challenge that heavier work (collecting the garbage, laundry lugging, etc.).
I use Wal-Mart's brand of facial wash which comes in a pump--just a little on a damp wash cloth, then I follow up with a quick facial cream. Done! I may not look gorgeous, but so far no one has laughed at or thrown anything at me, so I must be doing okay.
Maybe the key to living with fibro is simplicity, at least to the point where we're content with how things are.
