Hi I am new to this board but decided to join as seems like a good resource. My story about 5-6 yrsago went through some emotional trauma with my husband caught him cheating and Imwasmdevastated.I mademthemistake of giving him another chance but what I didn't realize is how hard it is to get the trust back especially when he wasn't putting much effort in to heal or to allow me to trust him again. I'm only telling you this as I believe this is where my fibro started. Anyway then I hit deer right in my drivers door and I was injured but luckily alive but I had severe damage to my neck, some minor brain injury, nerve damage to my left arm muscle spasms etc. about two months in no improvement even with therapy and then Istarted to notice all this body pain. My dr sent me to rheumy to get cortisone shot and he was first dr to tell me I had fibromyalgia and the cortisone shot is unlikely to work. There started my trial and error with fibro meds and was already on percocets. I tried cymbalta, NEUROTONIN, lyrica, bupropion, etc. nothing helped except cause me terrible side effects. about a month ago I started going to pain clinic which I had to ask my dr for referral he did gicve it with no problem but why didn't he suggest it. Now I get trigger point injections every week in my head, neck, shoulders, upper and lower back. Only some relief for max of 3 days no help with headaches/migraines which have been through the roof for three weeks now. I also go to hydrotherapy twice weekly traction and laser treatments. Been going to that for a year now but nothing seems to release my neck and shoulder muscles which are as tight as a drum, also massage weekly. I even tried acupuncture which only made it worse. Anyway the pain clinic suggested I should be on tramadol but I said that I tried that before ad it gave me terrible insomnia. A lady in my local fibro group suggested I take nucynta instead. Like tramadol without all the side effects. I have been taking 50 mg 4xper day but it does not give me enough pain relief and doesn't touch my headache pain. I see my dr this Friday and I want to suggest some changes but I need it t cover these debilitating headache/migraines. I was thig maybe to up the does to 75 or 100 and see if it works. Thee other option is can I can a 1/2 of Percocet with it? It really seems to cover my headache pain. Please let me know your thought. I am divorced now and alone and am trying to get my pain managed so that I can have somewhat of a life. Please help.
