What bothers me more than the tingling is the constant aching in both my thighs. I have bone-on-bone right knee, but doubt it would cause bilateral thigh aching. I've never had so much continuous pain.
I've tried several creams and patches (lidocaine), but they don't help. I finally got in to see the new neuro doc. She ordered labs (over a week ago and they aren't back yet). I had a lumbar spine MRI and there were no changes there. I'm thinking it's something in my pelvic area. I do have a prolapsing bladder, but several docs have told me that wouldn't cause upper thigh pain. I would think it very well could.
What's difficult with so many pains everywhere is you don't know what kind of doc to see first. Seems like all the specialists run a million tests without thinking of anything outside their specialty. Then you move on to the next specialist and on and on. I have gotten very depressed over this pain. I also get depressed when docs don't seem to be very logical in their troubleshooting. I really like my Internal Medicine doctor, but I've gotten to feel like he has pigeon-holed me as having fibromyalgia, and assumes there's nothing else to check up on.
I did fall on my right hip last summer. I talked to a relative who said she fell on her hip too, and didn't have any problems for a couple months......then it all showed up. Maybe I injured my pelvis back then and its just showing up now? I'm getting pretty impatient with all this pain.
