Hi Keith, I am sorry to hear that you are suffering so very much. I am not a medical professional. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome back in 1999. Back then the medical community was split as to whether Fibro was even real and not just hypochondria. After seeing many specialist I finally found a good Rheumatologist who was able to put a name with the illness that had stricken me. I felt relief that there is an actual name for what was going haywire with my body, but and also profound sadness that these conditions are chronic. Get your appointment at the VA as soon as you can. I had over 110 pressure points when I was diagnosed, I was in rough shape. I do not take medications for this, I have learned what triggers a flare and how to manage my life in a way that I can be ok most of the time. Try to not be anxious and uptight, do everything you can to distress, and try gentle stretches and use ice, or heat where you have pain. Our bodies heal at when we sleep. It is my understanding, that is when our cells, release their waste and the pressure points are a build up of toxins in our bodies on a cellular level. The toxins are just from our bodies functioning, but are not processed/cleaned out properly when we are tensed up and our muscles are tight, like many of us get. I was so sick, I could barely stand on my feet at one point, I could barely swallow my saliva. I am much better now. I just shoveled some snow and I am now done in for the day, I get nauseous from activity like that. I wish you the best, Let us know how you are doing.
