It's in AARP that Naltrexone has been approved by the FDA for fibromyalgia! Has anyone tried it? It's original use is to mitigate the effects of drugs in overdose. I'm hoping it doesn't cause obesity. It's supposed to help with the pain.

LDN Has changed my life. It’s been about two years now and I believe it has halted the progression of my fibromyalgia. It takes some getting used to, but other than fewer flares, I almost feel jormal again.

What about weight gain? I can’t gain any more weight!

I’m so excited I hope it turns out to be a life changer for everyone with fibro.

Hallahan, At the top right hand side of this page you will see a Google custom search. Type in low dose naltrexone cfibromyalgia and it will show you all the threads about this medication and how it might help fibro patients. Hope this helps.

I asked my rheumy to let me try LDN before Lyrica (because more weight is NOT what I need) and in my excitement to finally try it I completely blanked on the fact that I had taken tramadol that morning. By nighttime I was I mess!! Now I'm scared to try it again. Maybe in a few weeks...

I went to Drugs.com & from what I read if you take regular instant release Tramadol it should be out of your system in 4-6 hours. I suggest that you call your pharmacist to verify this & he/she can advise you better than anyone. I would not wait a few weeks & suffer needlessly.

So you would go off of tramadol for the LDN?

I take such baby doses of tramadol, but it takes the edge off

Hi, I haven't been here for awhile, and that may be because I started LDN a few years ago. I can't say it has completely resolved my fibromyalgia, but it has made a major difference. I try not to take Tramadol if I can avoid it, but I do occasionally, and I wait the five hours until LDN is supposed to be out of my system before I take it. I have to say the tramadol doesn't work very well now that I'm on LDN--and that seems logical to me--but it helps a bit. I can honestly say that LDN has helped me a great deal.
