PLEASE HELP ME I MADE OUT FOR A GOOD 5 TO 6 MINUTES THE OTHER NIGHT AN I HAVE GUM DISEASES MY GUMS WERE SLIGHTLY BLEEDING WHILE I MADE OUT WITH THIS GIRL AN IM AFRAID I MIGHT HAVE CONTRACTED HEPATITIS C IM NOT SURE IF SHE HAD IT HOWEVER IF MY GUMS WERE SLIGHTLY BLEEDING WHAT IS MY RISK AN SHOULD I GET TESTED AS MAYBE HERS GUM MIGHT HAVE BEEN BLEEDING AS WELL

 You are probably at greater risk of losing your teeth to gum disease than you are to contracting hep C from the kissing.  However, as Dan stated, get tested for your own piece of mind--then get those gums treated!

I SAW A DOCTOR THE OTHER DAY AN HE TOLD ME THAT MY CHANCES OF GETTING HEP C THROUGH KISSING IS LIKE GETTING STRIKED BY LIGHTINING AN HE ALSO TOLD ME THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A DOCUMENTED CASE OF GETTING IT LIKE THAT HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT SALIVA INHIBITS SOME VIRUSIS LIKE HEP C IS ANY OF THIS STUFF HES TELLING ME TRUE HES CHINESE AN IVE ALWAYS BEEN TOLD THAT CHINESE DOCTORS IN GENERAL ARE VERY INTELLEGANT WHEN IT COMES TO MEDICAL PRACTICE

Hi and welcome to the forum. I've had or have Hep A, B and C for over 30 to 40 years and am now in End Stage Liver Disease. I was married for 25 of those years. My wife never got Hep and we kissed a lot.

You may want to go to the Center for Disease Control web site, www.cdc.gov if you doubt what everyone has told you. They address this directly.

You should try to chill out and get some sleep.

And please -- turn off the Caps Lock on your keyboard. Words in all capitals are considered screaming, and tend to be badly interpreted as anger or aggression. It is not considered a nice thing to do.

hey sounds good john sorry to here about your diagnosis sounds like i should be ok thank you for the info i think everyones gums bleed when they kiss im sure even your guys both had bled during kissing possibly one time or anohter so i should be ok all just get a test for piece of mind down the road thank you best regaurds

sorry about the caps i took them off i think getting hepatitis c through kissing is a theoretical risk kinda like getting hiv  thrugh kissing i dont think either one has ever happend within 25yrs of the epidemic i need to calm down as the girl i saw was an escort thats why i think im very worried i feel so stupid for doin this i asked her an she said she has nothing she never ever even had as much as a cold sore in her life so maybe i need to calm down a bit

 hey jasonw, you should be concerned!!! can you please stop the bad language, this forum is a very important place for people to come and vent and ask questions. some of us were and still are caregivers, some have end stage liver disease for some reason or the other. hope that one night stand was worth it. please no more bad language. just go get the blood work done like the others told you.

Hello Jason, You were edited due to graphic nature. If it is not apropriate for a 13 year old to read I will edited it......vulgar language or not. We don't care how anyone gets the disease. We don't need any details like that.

This forum is for people who have be diagnosed with Hepatitis or people who have loved ones with it or need information about the disease itself.

I don't want to be rude but your question has been answered. If you still have questions concerning transmission or testing of the disease please google Hepatitis testing or Hepatitis transmission.

well heres what i cant understand as a person above told me i should be concerned as there are no documneted cases of getting hepatitis c from kissing so i guess if i got it like that i would be the first an would make history thats what im asuming as none of yu really never said if its theoretically possible or not possioble at all the only person in here wo was of any help was John i will take his word over anybody else in here as nobody else here could provide me wit any encouraging information all i get is go get tested i just got tested like 1 month ago as when i was younger that was alot more high risk behavior then kissing someone

Jason as you don't seem to understand . Please do not post any more. Move on. I repeat. This is for people already diagnosed with Hepatitus. This is not about testing for it or how it is transmitted.

We are a support forum for those with the disease and those who take care of or love people who have the disease.
