mri and cat scan my liver and spleen

sad  hi everyone

            had an mri and cat scan my liver and spleen are getting huge. will get results mon.my hep c level has gone up to 44 million no wonder i feel lousey and disoriented. i am glad my kids live 8 min away but it would have been nice to have my husband,oh well what u gonna do.besides i have made great friends on this site thank to all

Hi Joelene,

I know what you mean about having your husband around and understanding. My husband is real good at taking me to all my Dr. appointments but basically drops me off and waits til i am done. I go fo a transplant evaluation on the 20th to which my husband has to attend. It will be a big eye opener I am sure for him.


if you feel lousy and tired, take a nap, you need to do for you !!!!!

i am going to lay down for a while good idea. my husband has left and is with another women but he calls everyday and will take me to appt. i think because people have been giving him a hard time.he come back and forth whenever he wants to and i dont have the energy to argue with him. i think he dosent have what it takes to go thru another transplant and he told me he should be able to live his life he is not sick i am.i hope your husband shows support at the evaluation thats an important part of getting on list. thank you for getting back to me i cant believe all the wonderful people i have taked to since joining!!

I am so sorry that your husband feels he needs another woman. There are times when i feel that my husband would stray but its usually because I am not thinking clearly or had one of my very "cranky" days. But even though the majority of time he has no clue, I have caught him in tears about the possibility of not having me around anymore.

My suggestion is to think and keep positive thoughts in regards to yourself and life and pray often. I have recently renewed my faith and I personally have felt a change in how I feel. I mean the disease is there and isn't going away. But I have come to realize that if I think positive , I feel better.

Take care of yourself and get rest when you need it and keep in touch

Dear Candlelight,

My PCR was 60M at its highest. I have been able to keep it around 1M for 3 years with diet & lifestyle. Please consider a liver healthy diet and don't forget to hydrate like crazy - especially since its summer. I still get fatigued but rarely have any other symptoms - very rare confusion.
I was also dumped due to my illness - sorry.

Add me to the "dumpees."  It was not just the liver disease and cancer, but all the hip surgeries, hernia repairs, etc.  I'm sure I wasn't a ton of fun.  We weren't married, but had been in a monogomous relationship for 13 years--until he "met someone."  BTW, that didn't last long at all.  He and I are still friends, but rarely see each other.

Joelene, please let us know the results of your scans.

Hi Everyone

I just want bake you all cookies and knock your spouses or S/O along side of the head.  I guess there are alot of people out there that are weak!  I don';t have long because I have a grand son here but wanted to tell you Vanderbilt called my husbands son today and told him they are dropping their live donor program!  Nice isn't it.  That was after he spent a lot of time with them on the phone and he drove there last week with his wife.  Took all day meeting with the surgeon, social workers and tons of lap test.  They did tell him his lab work was good.  Someone made the call that they don't want to do live donor transplants.  You think they could have told him two weeks ago.  I had reservations about going there anyway.  They do a lot of transplants but have had very little experience with live transplants.  I called our case worker with the Insurance company and there are a lot of hospitals we could go to and be covered.  WE will have to have some family meetings I guess.  Just wanted to fill you all in and say Hi.  Jerry is not feeling good today.  He didn't even seem to react to the news.  NOt sure why.  Maybe he is kind of glad it turned out this way.  NOt sure.  I will keep you all posted.  Hang in there Joelene.  Is there something they can do for those high numbers.  I don't know much about Hep C.  Keep me posted.

JoAnn, that's the pits!  As Candlelight said, surely they knew before today that their future use of live transplants was in doubt.  Anyway, I'm glad you have alternatives.

Ditto on the fact they would of known sooner. That is just a terrible thing to do to someoneI pray for all of you and get some rest yourself.

how did you guys get thru it i found out he has been chating almost 2 years it just got worse and worse with him not coming home. he has been
gone almost 2 months now. he call every day but that is so he can tell people he is taking care of me.too bad i didnt have someone with joann's
strength. just feeling sorry for myself been feeling sick all day. thanks for listening joelene

I'm sorry that your S/O's didn't have the consciousness to be there for you. I can't really add anything to that statement -- I just hope and pray that things go well for you and that you find more of the happiness you deserve.

Candlelight, my SO wasn't cheating while we were actively dating and being intimate.  He started seeing less and less of me, and I had a feeling he was seeing someone else.  I think when he was ready to take it to the next level with this woman he had met, he felt obliged to break it off with me.  He said he "wanted to be honest" with me.  Since he was my best friend for so long, I still consider him a friend.  He's not seeing anyone now and has been calling me.  However, it will never be like it once was.

Now, in your case...if I were in your shoes...I would just hang up on the man when he called.  But that's me.  You don't deserve to be treated like that.

Just had to add a ditto to everyone else's response. Those kind of decision are not made in a spur of the moment and your family had a right to be informed that the possiblility existed even if the final decision had not been agreed upon. I am also glad that there are other options available for you and your family.

I am really sorry that your husband is not capable of being supportive of you and (sorry but my opinion) thinks more of his own needs than yours. You deserve better. Keep your chin up.

Will keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers.
