Our transplant coordinator called yesterday and we are back on the list....however, my husband's MELD score has dropped to an 8, which kind of knocked the wind out of my sails a little, I have to admit....was not expecting that it had dropped.....what a roller coaster ride!!! I guess I need to get that out of my head and just be happy that we are finally back on the transplant list!!! But, I guess I had too much emotion wrapped up in that.......so, we are in another "holding pattern" it seems........

Mer, so happy for you guy's turn .  Know just how you feel about the roller coaster ride, my husband was a 17 MELD and now that he is on the list he is down to a 11, could it be because they are getting so much care now???  Anyway, hopefully it wont be toooooooo long for them!

Thank you!!! Believe me, I am doing a happy dance....this on the list, off the list, back on the list stuff has been exhausting!!! On the MELD thing.....it is funny how the docs are watching them so much closer now, and the MELD going down. However, today, he was having a pretty good day, so we took advantage of it and got out of the house and did something fun as a family....but shortly before coming home, I could tell he was just wearing out, by the time we got home, he was very swollen....looks like he's building fluids in arms, legs, etc (he's never had any drained....he's on a diuretic), and we got home and he crashed and has been sleeping since. But, it was nice to take a "break" from everything and just go out and do something fun as a family!!!!

Mer, that's great that you all were able to get out and have some fun.  Swelling would occur with me when I was on my feet too long, or even just sitting too long.  When that happened, they would bump my Lasix and Aldactone for a period of time.

Yes, you are absolutely right!! Those good days are very precious....and wee try to enjoy them when we can!!! We have all been so cranky lately, so it was nice to just get out of our normal routine and take that break!!
