Hello everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted... It has been a rough few months..

On Jan 12th my husband started vomiting blood and it has been down hill from there, proof that doctors are right that if he drank again he would die...

He is on Hospice now and dying slowly.. Hospice is a wonderful group and has helped me tremendously through this hard time... Just thought I would give an update... Thanks

Hello dontknowwhattodo, I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I agree, Hospice is a wonderful group. They helped me through a tough time when my husband was dying. And then again last July when my brother was dying.

If I got through it so can you. It's a tough row to hoe that for sure, but we are here for you too.

Don'tknow, thanks for updating us.  Sorry the news isn't good, but glad that hospice is involved.  They will be very helpful.

dontknow, Sorry to here about your husband, my prayers go out to you , this isn't easy to watch the out come of this dreadful disease.

sorry to hear your news about your husband. It is not easy for you and him having to go through this nightmare, sometimes its like in very slow motion. my thought are with you

Sorry to hear about your husband. I feel like I am two steps behind you with my mom. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and I hope you gather strength from loved ones around you to help during this time.

i am sorry about your hubby dontknow but at least hospice is involved and helping out. make sure you say everything you wanna say and spend as much time as you can. the drinking is beside the point now and its bad and sad when they cant stop but know that he loves you and appreciates all you do for him even if he doesnt say it.

when he does pass(hopefully not for awhile) know that he will still always be with you. i like the words in my signature and it has helped me with my moms passing. "no one really dies for they have loved. because they have loved their memory will live on in the lives of everyone whos life he has touched."

Thank you for you kind thoughts everyone... My husband passed away March 7th at the age of 42.. It has been a rough road, and now a very lonely and sad one..

In this time and space where no comfort can be found may the Angels of the Lord watch over you and guide your heart... in these moments of grief when no else can touch the hurt may the prayers of many comfort your spirit.... in these unspeakable minutes that seem to go on forever remember to look every once in a while here... where your friends await you... and know we care... and you are in our prayers and thoughts every day in every way as you travel this long path... so sorry for your loss.. ((((dontknowwhattodo)))), I am so sorry. Losing a husband to this disease after fighting so hard to help him live is devastating.
I know you are feeling lost with out him right now but you will learn to live again without him. After a few months see if your hospice, has a bereavement group. It took me 6 months to get up the courage to go. It was one of the best things that I could have done for myself. I found out that I wasn't nuts.... that everything that was going through my mind was normal. It was then that the healing actually started.
I put on a good front in front of my family and friends and even here at Healingwell. I felt like I was on the edge of a cliff and was about to fall off for over a year.
