Hubby continues to be worse.
He finally fell askeep last night for the night around 1 AM. He had napped on and off all day, so no wonder he wasn't ready for a long sleep period.
He is losing wt and has no ascites or edema in ankles. I had him stop the aldactone, though he still takes lasix. I found that he had stopped taking his triempterine on his own. I need to more carefully monitor his meds again. He was doing that himself again, and has regressed.
My big worry this morning: He has had no urine output in about 15 hours. Before that his urine was dark and had an odor.
He took his morning meds with water and then threw up that water...I didn't see any pills in there though it had been about 15 minutes.
a little while later he took some of lactulose laxative with a glass of apple juice, about 6 ounces, Plus a half cup of coffee. So far he has kept those down. He is sleeping again after being up less than 2 hours.
When he was in the hospital in November, his discharge papers added "Acute Renal Failure" to his LIST diagnoses. I am assuming that the case now too. And that this condition comes and goes, it isn't chronic at this point as he was going pretty normally until yesterday.
Is this an ER visit? Specialist appointment first thing Sunday morning. Can it wait? I hate to take him to see the B Team when the A team is less than 2 days away. I have been thinking of driving to Miami and calling 911 when we get there and having him go to ER THERE. Thoughts?
BTW -- he was more mentally alert this morning, but is slurry tongued and doesn't have good balance...he sounds like he's had 6 or 7 drinks...which he has not.
