for Princess...

Hello Princess.  I think it is nice when our kids give us nick names!  Now, what were you doing in the bathroom all that time that led to your crowning?

Me and hubby?  Almost 28 years married.  He just turned 62.  I am 51.  We have 2 sons.  He also has a son from his first (ill-fated) marriage.  35, 25, and 20.  25 lives with us.  20 is across the country at college.  35 lives in another state, and has 3 sons of his own.  "We only shoot Ys!" is what my husband likes to say. 

So...as the only lady in the house, I am use to being the princess in our family too.  Although I think husband and sons would just call me bossy.  Oh, the cat is male...but my sweet little dachshund is a girl!  And she is a princess too.

I contend that husband is the heart of our family.  He says I am the boss of the family.  Our 20 year old tells his dad that he is the lion, we (the rest of us) are the pride.  I like that sentiment alot.

I hope that all your testing went well today.  I wish for you improving health and lots of love, laughter, and humor.

Well hello everybody and especially Emma ,
This is Karen the long suffering wife of Princess .he's always up to something. Suzi's like her father always wants her own way and spoilt ,just like daddy. I'm sure Connie would vouch for that. They both become little "Princesses if they can't have their own way and neither have ever changed.Michael is very laid back however . I'm sure the transplant docs think that he's not worried . He looks at it that it's their job and he knows nothing about it , so what will be will be. He'll gamble on anything ,he's just bet that the girl on Master Chef won't use her immunity pin . You can bet on anything in OZ . Elections etc ,etc . Hold on ...wait ... She used it ,he lost again ,I won't say what he just called her . Starts with a B ,ends in an H . Oh well ,have to go ,I'll pop in more regularly ,I'll have to keep an eye on my Princess .

Hi Emma , your very flattering . Are you still going to trivia? We have the end of the month one on Sunday afternoon here. It's hoped I don't lose it for the team again. All our kids are basically just over a year apart . Their all born in August ,what can I say ,I was very productive in December.

Hi Connie, We love that Master Chef .As for Gordon Ramsay he upset the Queen of current affairs Tracey Grimshaw out here and has never been on free to air since . Haven't seen him on pat tv at all here.In Master Chef Australia last night it was down to the last five and Danni who had the immunity pin used it and put a lovely girl in elimination who didn't deserve to be there. They had a market on if she would use her pin or not.I lost!
The laptops cruel ,money there one second and gone the next.

Mick-trivia is off for the summer. Good thing, 'cause my brain hurts. Trivia will resume in September. I hope that we can get the crowd back after the summer break. Otherwise, we will need to try and find a new form of brain stimulating entertainment.

Our usual entertainment is watching the tube. We have been watching the 1960s soap, Dark Shadows. Enjoying it quite a bit. Unfortunately, Netflix only goes until "Collection 8" and we are in the middle of Collection 7. After that we will again need to find an alternative. I have been posting on Netflix's facebook wall to bring back all the Dark Shadows discs, or have it for streaming. We will see if I and the others doing the same will make a difference.

Anyway, husband is not Doug, but we can call him Doug for conversation's sake. I always just refer to him as husband, since I don't think he wants his real name bantered around.

Emma , I can't figure for the life of me why you would poke our sleeping Princess . No chaos in the room of late ? For god sakes are you just bored ?
Seriously , Mick and Karen are hilarious over the phone . It actually took me 2 phone calls to understand what he was saying ( With Karen translating ) , After that I learned to not take my Lactulose for 3 days prior to his call . Translation problem solved . All joking aside they are the sweetest people you'll ever meet .

Sparkles , Whats the matter Geritol not working again ? Did they close the local nursing home down and all the hot geriatric babes get shuffled off to N.Y ? What gives ? Not a wise crack outta you here lately . I'm with princess on this one , You seem to be losing your cranky mojo . Give old Ziff and Princess a shot across the bow .

You jest of course ,you're a smart woman. Trivia here is about 50 weeks of the year . The trick is Ettalong offers money for first second and third place. With the big one on the last Sunday of the month. Usually about $2000 to the winning team . no electronic gadgets allowed. I thought you referred once in a post as your hubby being Doug . Anyway Doug will do . He's doing a fantastic job staying sober working in a bar. Good man for sure .Cheers Princess.

Speaking to the Princess by telephone is funny stuff. He's as hard to understand there as when he posts here. Then, one night, he did his imitation of Arnold, complete with GA/NC accent. I could understand him better with a southern/irish/OZ spin than when he was just being himself. Maybe growing up in NC, attuned me to the cadence of his speech. There's no such thing as speaking to just Mick or Karen, as they're on speakerphone at all times.

I only watch Gordon Ramsey on that show where he comes in to rescue failing restaurants. He's terrific with that thing. Plus, the owners and chefs are total screw ups and he sets them right by the end of the hour. My other favorite cooking show is Iron Chef. I started out watching the original from Japan. The voices were dubbed in, so it was like a Japanese horror flick, with the exclamations not matching the action at all times. Some of the cooking is amazing. The new Iron Chef is also very good, with more hokey stuff and great chefs. Chopped isn't a bad one either.

Just woke up with what seems to be flu symptoms. I new I should never have rubbed up against that 30 year old woman at the hospital the other day,.but as the saying goes "it pays to advertise".Haha

Princess , It's hotter than 2 big girls fighting over a biscuit . It's down right nasty ! I can't do a thing with my hair with this humidity , It took the curl right outta my tail .
I'm gonna show Leanne your post so she wont get on me about me not taking the lactulose . Will see how that goes . Thursday it is .
