Wanted to check in with every one on this site to inform you all that my BF died june 28,2011 from a heart attack i do believe. I was on the phone with him when he died and at the time did not know his location to get help. He suffered from Hepatitis and was on the trial medication for the first two months and then was on the regular meds for the last six months

Steph, I am so very sorry to hear this.  What a shock this must have been...and while on the phone with you.  I can't imagine.  Thank you for letting us know, and remember that you are always welcome here.

My world has just been taken from me Connie. I will need as much support as possible you guys on here kept me going thru the treatment and i kept praying that things would get better. I just dont understand gods plan in all this, but iam grateful i am in the program because with them i would be walking thru this alone and today i dont have to. But the pain really hurts iam back at work today and just trying to get thru the day. Thank you so much and to every one on here that reached out to me when i did nt understand.

Steph...just let us know if we can help in any way.  I know your program friends will also be there for you.  It's times like this where you have to go back to basics and not dwell too much on the past or think too much about the future...just get through one day at a time.

The tears keep coming when i least expect it. Life to me has changed in the blink of an eye. I loved this man and went thru alot with him standing strong by his side thru everything and now iam force to stand alone. When the pain goes away the memories will take its place and those are what i have to hold on to.

Has any one ever heard to the meds taken for hep c to create a heart attack?

Steph I haven't heard that it can cause a heart attack. But I have heard that if the patient has a pre-existing heart condition that it can make it worse...........maybe someone else knows more.......

Iam doing ok most of the time it seems like iam acting as if, but  if thats what gets me thru it then iam gonna keep doing it . Still going to meetings some times dragging myself there but iam going. He would not want me to stop doing whats been so healthy for me for over seven years. Iam just trying to find out answers and we are still waiting for the cause of death pending reports to come in. He was a heavy smoker for such a long time there is no telling what took him out right now. But when he did sign up for the study he had to do some over nights and some testing iam sure one of the test was on his heart.

Just wanted to check in my bf died of heart disease witch triggered a heart attack. None of the test he took at the clinic for hep c meds gave any sign that he had a problem.Still feeling the pain of loosing my loved one. Every thing is different today still having a hard time letting go and moving even alittle bit forward in my life

Steph, such a sudden and unexpected death is difficult to process. It will take time and baby steps. It hasn't been long since his passing, so don't expect too much of yourself. It's really a shame after he went through the rigors of treatment.

I'm sorry too Steph! I can't imagine how you feel but I know it has to be heart breaking for you. Please know that we all feel for you and you will stay in my prayers!

Allow yourself time to heal and just take it one day at a time....

Just wanted to check in ans see how every one was doing here. Things have gotton better. Stayed strong in my recovery with the help of every one around me. Its only been three months since he died and still really miss him. I have been able to let him go and go to heaven with the help from my grief meetings, the rest is just one day at a time. Thank you so much for all the support you gave while he was doing treatment for hep c I would not have made it thru if it werent for this site. truly life saving on here for all the care givers who stand by there love ones walking thru treatment. Thank you all and hugs to every one that reached out to me

Hi Stephanie, So glad to hear from you., and glad that you are doing okay.
Grief is a bear to get through......glad that you are going to meetings. They helped me a lot also. What else helped me through the darkness was coming back to this forum.

One day at a time, and eventually the hurt won't be so bad.

Come back anytime Stephen.......you walked a mile in our shoes too.

  So sorry for the loss of your BF.  Would be really helpful if you would stay with this forum and post what you are going through regarding the grieving stages.  I'm afraid I am on the path not far behind you.  My hubby has ESLD and at this time is not willing to be evaluated for a transplant, so....future looks dim.  I'm trying to be strong but it would help to know the path others find to handle the loss...before I get there.  Again...I'm so sorry for your loss.

Angie this is not something to prepare for. What I can tell are the things Iam doing today to be ok. Since this forum is on liver disease and not greif I would be glad to give you my email address and I can give you some tools that will help you there [email protected]

I have never stopped grieving for the loss of my sister and that was a little over a decade ago. I hope you never forget him, but could you think about changing the title of your post; "he died" is not only depressing, but that was months back. Something along the lines of "I still miss him," or "He's always going to be with me," would be more like it, at this point. Not trying to tell you what to do, but I flinch each time I see your post.
