family, spouses - do yours understand hcv??

I've stood by my man for over 30 years. Taken the good with the bad. Raised a family, worked our careers, sold our home and retired to Florida. That was good for a w hile and then he crashed. Only reason I would leave now is if he went back to drinking after all we have been through building a life back up. And who really knows if I'd actually do that.

This is old but pretty straight forward.

Hep C causes are many:

Iv drug use
Shared straws from inhaled drugs
Tattoos from before safety measures were instituted
Home done tattoos
Battlefield contamination--horrific injuries cause lots if blood spatter
Transfusions before blood supply tested for HCV
Needle sticks in medical venues
Sabotage -- recent press about HCV infection by a drug addict stealing clean needles and replacing with used in a medical venue

Many hemophiliacs have died of HIV and HCV by administering blood products that were tainted

Casual sharing of personal grooming items--toothbrushes, razors.

Plenty of folks have HCV who are clean now or were infected other than via IV drug use. Kids do some dumb things and go on to live drug free lives.

The blood borne virus takes so long to do its nasty deed that it is hard for some to figure out how they got it

nevermind, finally got a hold of a local hcv advocate. they informed me the place I've been going to is on the low end of the totem pole, never recommended. was told my hcv should have never been treated as a ”complex medical case” that it never should have been allowed to get this far. and yes, eyes can turn yellow for a day only to clear up. they are quite dim though. wow, was nice to speak with someone first hand about the hobble care others do also experience at the same liver clinic. getting a new doc within a few weeks, am extremely ill and in need of advanced hcv care... the shape I'm in can be fixed, but not with standard treatment. glad I've already found a new home, insurance and liver clinic, just in time apparently! ~peace~

ya they can't read a biopsy result, lab reports, nor will they educate themselves with chronic hcv turned fibrosis liver disease. All but two family,members think my fiancé and I are ”in fantasy land” that I have the hcv 1a, fibrosis, inflammation, fatigue or brain fog enough to warrant ceasing the utterly twisted prejudice the fiancé and I have encountered leading us back to his hometown where I can purchase full health insurance, and obtain the type of treatment that I have chosen. Guess they outright said they don't even like him, and are skewing my,cross county move for his business and my treanent. its a two-fold venture for marriage, and hopefully obtain full remission. They are being very mean to him, and actually demanded he get me to sign hippa papers so the Dad can have his doc call both of my docs to verify I've even acquired hcv 1a with fibrosis and inflammation. I've never lied to them, but was mis diagnosed with MS (got record of diagnosis and non-diagnosis by ms specialist) ... guess they do think I'm lying, now that I read this all in print.

anyway, the important thing here is that my soon to be husband went thru hcv manifestation hell to finally get my 29-year old never diagnosed hcv and its genotype diagnosed. He's my everything, love love love. smile ~peace~
