Took 1st peg shot

Hi to all,

I took my first peg shot with the pen click pen and it clicked onto the floor. I guess is was defected but that didn't stop me from boohooing like a baby. So my fiancé got me another one and it worked fine. I took it at night around 11:00pm. I had some pain in my right leg where I gave myself the shot. I woke up at 7:20am to take my 1st rib and inck with my 20g of fat and went right back to sleep since I really didn't sleep to well. Again I woke up at noon hungry believe it or not. Some of the side affects have been body aches a lil headache and a lil anal burning. Which wasn't so bad. So overall it hasn't been to bad but this is only day 0. We will see in the days to come.

Good for you! Remember to replace the interferon, if it's no good after being dropped. Good thing your have a fiance who's watching your back. Feel free to call if you have questions.

I imagine you would then need to take your morning meds a half hour earlier. Try to not get off track with your time table, especially because of blood work.

PPM and Star, how are you getting your necessary grams of fat? I was told it is 20 grams 3 x a day with the medication.

Lately I have been eatting 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a glass of whole milk or a blueberry muffin with some butter and a glass of milk. I still have an appetite so it has been whatever I want to eat. I don't know if it will change as the weeks go by.
Oh and day 2 I have had a low grade fever 99.0 not to bad. I still feel a bit run down body aches. We will see how the week goes on.
David, I have called the manufacturer about the click pen and they are going to replace it. Thank god for that.

I went to a class and they said that if you didn't feel like eating to take a shot of olive oil. It sounds gross but it has the grams of fat that you need to take the meds. But keep your head up you might be able to eat you never know.

Day 3 ohh yea I feel nauseate already and food smells good but I don't want to eat at all I know I have to eat at 1130 but for right now NOPE I have ate pepto pills and that is not working. Any ides?

Thanks I hope so. Today I was so tired at work I could barely hold my eyes open. I have never been so drained. Thought about having some coffee but I didn't even want to eat. Ate some bread and felt a bit better but this thing is really like a roller coaster.

It is super hard but I am fighting this tooth and nail. It's hard but I'm staying around I look forward to every day that is going by. Day 5 here I come.

Since Monday I called out tuesday I just couldn't do it. My job wasn't to happy but I am using my FMLA for the next 2 weeks. I hope that within 2wks I should feel a little bit better. I have noticed that when I take the inc. it seems to make me very very sleepy. Its like you have stayed up for 24 hours and someone said here take this sleeping pill and I need you to stay up for another 9 more hours. That is how it felt for me on Monday.
Thankfully my roommate bought me some ginger root tea to help with my tummy. Since my doctor is out of town I can not get any meds for the nausea. Lets see if the ginger root helps!

Well I am going to try. I'm going to take 2 wks. and see how I feel after that. My fiancé said if I need to take 12 wks then he would stand by me. I'm just glad he has a job that pays well.

David, I've never heard of that. BTW, did you know that when Coca Cola first came out, it actually had cocaine in it? My grandmother told me that.

Well I am willing to try anything. Just went out and got a coke from the soda fountain. It has seem to be helping out so far. The ginger root tea not so much. This really is a roller coaster of a ride and this WOMAN is fighting this and standing strong as much as she can.
