I think the Weight Watchers model you say you are using is the best guide to what to do. They bring the "points" down gradually to where you can maintain the new weight.
At 275 what does a male your age need to consume to maintain? I would think, in the end, that would be your goal.
When you look at the components of your diet are you getting enough fiber, fat, protein, carbs, etc.? When you know where you are falling down, you will know where to supplement.
The very heavy often lose quickly at first...it is the last pounds that will be the hardest to shed.
I,too, have to lose weight, and with all that has gone on here with Mike over the past 2 years, I have gained yet more weight. I am afraid I'll be diabetic or worse.
I wish I COULD exercise an hour a day...I am so short of breath sometimes I can barely do a grocery shopping without resting afterwards.
The trick is going to be NOT to gain it back!
Best,
Carol
