I have soo much to be thankful for . . . last year Christmas was depressing due to my husbands health. Even with a positive and hopefull attitude, it was hard to be in a celebratory state of mind!! This year, he is doing well, and I thank God everyday for getting us through this terrible sickness!! I also thank God for this website!! I was in my darkest days, turned down for evaluation due to MELD score being too low, when I found this site. I remember the joy I felt when Mamma Lama/Carol's husband got the call and did so well. I felt the same way when Connie got the call, and we all sat on pins and needles waiting for her to get well enough to post!! The sadness we all have shared when other Members loved ones didn't make it or chose not to go through transplant.
The information I got here, helped me to understand the Dr.'s, the symptoms, and the meds!! If I had a $ for every time I was asked if I was a nurse, I could buy you all a Christmas Lottery ticket!! Most everything I know about ESLD, I learned here. How the list works, the links to follow your facility, I learned here!! I deas about how to make my husband more comfortable, and when to give extra lactulose . . I learned here!!
Thank you all . . God bless you all, and Merry Christmas to you all!!
