IgG4??

I have not seen my hep in 4 months, just labs. Apparently they are still digging.I have stent replacement tomorrow but got a message through MyChart that said they are suspecting IgG4. Not much out there other than it causes chronic inflammation. Sounds like autoimmune, says treated with steroids then an immunosuppressant. Hard to diagnose I guess, I read one thing that says they did not diagnose it in one patient until after transplant and that if diagnosed instead of PSC the patient would not have needed transplant.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of this? The doctor I like the most that does my ERCPs is going to discuss with me.

I was tested for IGg4 when they couldn't believe that the fairly minimal alcohol consumption had been responsible for my liver problems. This and anti-smooth muscle, which actually came back as elevated. Definitely autoimmune.
