Z,
The UC program is very well rated.
The coordinator could likely talk to you about
the average TP MELD in your blood group and there is a lot of information on the web.
Connie has a lot of experience with the chemoembolization, so take your cue from her.
I am wondering if you have searched for support in all the places in your community...a church group, a cancer support group, social services in your town. What do old people do for help? Does Hospice do visitation for folks with serious diagnoses (even before it is last stage?).
I know when Mike was so sick, he could not have organized any of that.
I too have huge respect for Connie. What she had going for her was that she was not decompensated at the time of TP. Rather her cancer brought her to that threshold. She was pretty with it mentally.
Are you taking Xifaxan? That helps with the mental stuff.
Best to you in the next months,
Carol
