Hi everyone,
Anyone have any information on Gilead's Momentum program? Has anyone used it?
Hello John, I used the Gilead Momentum program and they assisted with communication with our insurance provider Sunlife Financial from Canada, they also sent me the forums my specialist needed me to fill out and once that was done and I faxed them the journey began.
I basically gave my insurance provide the 2-3 weeks they said they needed to get the pricing and then I called and when they said they still didn't know then I got Gilead to call at which time I learned I has 80% coverage and would be given the full 100% if I paid $3000 out of pocket to the Bioscript
pharmacy in Calgary Canada.
Gilead didn't really give me any sort of discounts or anything BUT they were very helpful with contacting my specialist to get the prescript
ion and the document signed as well as arranging the prescript
ion being filled with Bioscript
.
I know the Momentum program is supposed to offer some sort of financial assistance to those without insurance but as of yet I have not heard of them covering anything 100%, at least not in Canada as another user here is hoping to get on Sovaldi+Ribavirin however she does not have insurance....I would have HOPED that Gilead would have helped her but as of this week I haven't heard of them offering anything for free just yet in Canada.
In the U.S it may be slightly different, one of the users of this forum mentioned they were being covered by Medicaid.
Let us know if you have more questions.
