Hello KWLAW and welcome to our forum, you will find many people like myself here to lend support when you need it and though it may be a bit slower on weekends I am sure others will chime in very quickly to welcome you.
I was diagnosed October 2013 with Genotype 2 and I am currently taking Sovaldi+Ribavirin, when I was initially diagnosed my ALT was about
684 and my viral count was 4.7 million. I also had a biopsy done in December and was told I would have to take Peg-Interferon+Ribavirin but instead the wife and I researched and with the help of Gilead Momentum program and our insurance(Sunlife Canada) we are fully insured.
As of yesterday I got my blood results after just 4 short weeks of Sovaldi+Ribavirin treatment and my viral load is not 79 and my ALT is 23. All I can say is I have been smiling inside since yesterday afternoon and their is also a few others who began treatment around the same time as me and are having similar results.
I'll be cheering for you to have the same sort of results I have just been told about
and just know you can visit here anytime and ask questions and we have a huge amount of very supportive members, I cannot say enough good words about
them and the support they have provided me since my first post October 2013
We're here for you don't forget it!
