BC/BS of Florida Caremark Rx co-pay?

Hi KW and welcome to HW. Im not a Hep patient but do live in Fl and am familiar with the insurance as well as decades spent in the medical field. Saw your question and hopefully can shed some light.

Its actually being covered by BC/BS and as with most insurance plans it does however involve cooperation from your dr in dealing with the required paperwork and forms to get it done. The dr office should already be aware as to whats needed to get it done.

Co-pays and actual out of pocket expense is dependent on the actual type of coverage you have. Which plan,yearly deductable including any gaps. Your carrier will be able to tell you exactly or check the new 2014 drug formulary as I understand it is listed.

The cost of these lifesaving meds has quickly become an issue all over the world. It makes me crazy to think that Hep C patients CAN be CURED at last, but only if they are rich or lucky to have the right insurance.

Those with Hep C are at risk in so many ways...liver failure, kidney failure, various serious cancers become statistically more common, etc. I hope this hurdle is crossed soon and we can get 3 million affected folks on the path to recovery.

My family is sooo lucky to have found coverage.
