She had liver cancer and PSC. Scary because PSC patients typically do not have MELDs go high enough fast enough to get transplants, usually by the time they do they have liver cancer that is to big.

Scary for me because I have 1 doctor who says he thinks 50% chance that I have this. My other 2 doctors say no way, but its always scary.

Syxx ... if you do have PSC is it a case of wait for it to get worse before they can tell for sure? Is there anything for treatment? That's an auto immune complication isn't it ... very very sad story.

Whilst specifically aimed at PSC my hep (who is one of the researchers) has confirmed that, if it works, it would help all types of liver inflammation.

Quite a few people here in UK with PSC get transplants by the way. Our big problem though is lack of donors. Who would have thought that low road deaths would have a downside?
