Sounds like you're taking care of yourself which is great, and certainly no alcohol for sure. Again, just having cirrhosis will tend to drive your individual baseline AFP levels higher than non-cirrhotics. Then, when you combine this with active liver disease, your AFP will trend a bit higher even yet. So 11 shouldn't be too alarming given that it has been around this level for some time now. If things suddenly spike, then your doctor will be paying attention.
Also, I assume you've also been having some imaging done on a periodic basis? You mention that you've had some done recently but be sure you keep up with this in a consistent manner. Not all cases of HCC will trigger an increase in AFP, so imaging comparisons are critical to help identity these types of tumors.
