Willy I'm pulling for you too! I had terrible gas for the first 3 or 4 weeks but everything has settled down for me now. I'm just starting my tenth week, and hardly any sides except. Tiredness and weakness. Wishing you the very best. You are a fighter and I'm rooting for you.

Feeling much better these past few days (I have also slept the past two nights with no medical assistance what-so-ever).

Just received my first portion of my 2nd set of blood tests...LOOKING GOOD.

For monitoring purposes, an HCV viral load (HCV RNA quantitative) can indicate whether or not treatment is effective. A high or increasing viral load may be a sign that treatment is not successful whereas a low, decreasing, or undetectable viral load may imply that the treatment is working. Successful treatment causes a decrease of 99% or more in viral load soon after starting treatment (as early as 4-12 weeks) and usually leads to viral load being not detected after treatment is completed. According to the CDC, an undetectable viral load in a treated person's blood for 24 weeks after the end of the treatment means that the HCV infection has responded to therapy

I guess that with a VL that was >20,400.000.00 and is now, after 4 weeks of tx, <15 DETECTED I should be immensely happier and more grateful. I think that I was hoping so hard for an undetected status that I lost focus on reality. Time to hook my thumbs in the ol'bootstrap and pick myself up.

That I understand. But there is the caveat of detected/un-detected.

I am <15 DETECTED

Did they actually say detected? On my test results it would list the viral load. When it was <43, and later on <15, that meant they couldn't detect it below that level.

This past week has been a bit of a roller coaster ride. Started sleeping much better but I feel that my fatigue is growing.. there are days that I am really dragging.

All in all, everything is going pretty good. 127 days left.

Willy this is great!! I too am holding my own quite well. Tomorrow I'm at the midway point- I begin week 13! I'm heading home. I've been feeling pretty good- have to not try to do too much as I do get wiped out so mostly just working and then resting.
