Hi HW friends,

I'm on VACATION. A real vacation. My brother is looking after my sister, and Mike got the all clear from cardio, dermo, hep, and nephrology....so I am off. He doesn't feel free to be too far away from the center (but for an occasional visit to see family near his OLD hep).

So I joined two girlfriends for 10 days in Yellowstone and some parks in S Utah. I am an easterner who has been to some left coast areas, but have missed out on much of our beautiful western areas. We 3 are friends since 3rd grade! And have kept up, though we now live in UT, NC, and FL!

So far we have had 70s and sunny, 50s and raining and special for today.....30s and SNOW in Yellowstone. Amazing. We are expecting 80s in S Utah next week.

Home the 23rd.

I had some time with altitude sickness, but am feeling better today. Lessons learned....keep hydrated and don't have a glass of wine (I'm not the one with liver disease) AND avoid Chinese food, evidently.

Canyons, geysers, mountains, waterfalls, bears, buffalo, elk, and a lone skanky fox trotting down the road. Lovely day, excellent fellowship. I am blessed.

A long explanation to let you know you are not hearing much from me...few places have wi fi or cell service but some towns. I am in Gardiner MT tonight and we have both!

So happy for you ML..You deserve some you time. Hope you have a great time. I am getting to have a little vacation. My daughter myself and my granddaughter are driving to New York this coming weekend. I'm very excited to be going back to my home town on Long Island then going upstate to see my brother..Getting to see lots of friends and family. Bill is going to stay with his daughter for the time I'm gone. Have a great time ML

I took that same trip 3 years or so ago.
Bryce, Zion, Arches, Yellowstone. We are very fortunate in our country to have such wonderful, protected, natural wonders. Especially liked driving right next to a buffalo. My friend wanted to get close to a bear, that's where I drew the line.

I grew up just a few stops away from you on the Babylon line - Amityville. Was Wantagh Farms there? We would go there when I was young, best cold cuts, from what I remember.

Patiently waiting for Post 3 month test.

Heading to FL Saturday. Lots to catch up on...I've been a "bad" moderator for 10 days....have barely checked in but once a day.

I think Wantagh Farms was on Sunrise Highway....but I haven't lived there in 52 years!!!! It is surely not there now.

Home again....drove 2000 miles all over the west and had a great time. Slept 10 hours last night in MY own bed. I'll be back at my computer now...sorry to be gone so long. Hugs, ML

Welcome back. Sounds like a great trip. I am having a great staycation experience puppy sitting for the weekend. We have a four month old mini aussie puppy and are caring for a ten week old pup while his owners are camping, a trip they planned before they got the puppy. Puppy antics are soooo much fun, and they are both exceptional puppies. We have a six year old mini aussie as well.

I find myself loving life again and in some disbelief of how badly I felt. The sides of harvoni are kicking my butt and I still feel better than I did a year ago.

Imagine the post transplant change must be even more profound. Really feel for all of you awaiting transplant - how hard it must be to get through the day....

welcome back!!! I hope you had a wonderful and refreshing trip!! < My wife and I are hopefully going to take a trip in September to Idaho and Montana as i love lakes,mountains etc..we tend to take the old highways not new expressways..(i just hate rushing) and we steer clear of big cities lol,the small towns and small cities seem to have happy friendly people in them..we don't plan a thing..spontaneity is the spice of life!! "imbb" sounds like your doing well!! good to hear!!
