Welcome to the healing well forum. I have been traveling and I'm late and welcoming you aboard. My experience is primarily as caregiver to a man who had cirrhosis, kidney failure, and liver cancer. Oh and hepatitis C.

He was transplanted in 2011. And is lucky to be alive...but here he is!

However I have learned quite a bit about primary biliary cirrhosis from a friend. She was diagnosed many many years ago. She is seen by an excellent hepatologist at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She has retired to Florida but takes a trip up twice a year to see her doctor she takes one pill every day. And that's it

She leads a pretty normal life. The same recommendation as they have for most everybody heart healthy diet no alcohol and low sodium. I just seems normal to me. I have to go catch a plane.

Which Hep Clinic are you going to...we have members who have been to more than one of the Mayo centers. They have a great reputation. Best luck.,,ML
