hello

my name is lerie. I'm new to the site. I have severe advanced cirhosis & hepatic encephalopathy. I came to this site because sometimes it can be a lonly situation with the hepatic encephalopathy although I do have it under control for the most part. Anyway what I'm hoping to find on this site is support & maybe some suggestions about this disease.I'm looking forward to chatting with you my new friends. I'm even hoping my husband can recieve the supporthe needs & deserves because as all liver patients know this isn't easy on our loved ones either. Especially the hepatic encephalopathy part of things.Well thanks for listening. Stay safe & stay strong everyone & God bless.

hello lerie, my name is Diane I am also new to this site. I just found out Friday that my mom has Cirhosis of the liver, they say she's in stage B. I'm not exactly sure with that means. She's only 46 and I'm 27, this has made a dramatic impact on our lives. She's been drinking for 15 years I don't know if she'll stop. Will I lose her soon. Make sure you spend all the time in the world with your family, especially your husband and kids if you have any kids. Make a scrap book for them give them something to look forward to. Church is probably the only solution for resolution in your hearts especially your husbands. I'm so sorry that you and other's have to go through this horrible disease and maybe if televison and schools discussed these issues more than maybe we all can become more educated. Do things with your husband that you've never done and did in the very beginning. If their is that connection it is much easier. I wish you well and I will say my prayers. Tell your husband he should talk about it with you and others.
