ok heres a messed up story about when rick was hospitalized last week,,,,,i had been to the hospital 3 times that day,for a few hours each visit, and packing at home in between times,at 830 pm i called him to see how he was doin, and he was SOBBING,,,,,,,totally upset and bawling like a baby, which is NOT my husband,i have never seen him like that, when i questioned him about why,he replied,i dont know but i cant stop crying,,,he said they havent given me my meds either,,,,i asked which meds and he said NONE of them,,,,,,after 2 and half days in there, they hadnt given him any of his heart meds, his antidepressents,,,,NOTHING,,,,,,he said his nurse said someone on ICU unit hadnt faxed orders down to the pharmacy,,,,,,i was furious,,,ya cant take someone from 225 mg of effexor, and take them away cold turkey,,,can cause serious issues, uncluding suicide,,,,,,i flew up to the hospital and went to his room,,his nurse put her hands up and said ,,he has his meds now!! i said good, this isnt your fault but im finding out whos it is,and back out the door i went, straight to ICU unit,,,,,luckily both the day charge nurse and night charge nurse were there, and i went off,,,,,,told them i wanted to know exactly who was responsible for this,,,,,,they both left the floor to go up on the floor he was located at then, and pulled his chart, goin page by page,,,,,,showing me what happened,,,,,turns out is was the physicians assistant whod made rounds the day after he was admitted,,,,,he had checked the paper about what meds to resume but had NOT put in the physicians notes to the nurses to resume his home meds,,i told them that man was NOT to enter my hubbys room,,and NOT to touch his chart,,,just what we needed,on top of everything else,an incompetent person messing things up,,,,,just had to vent this ,,,,,,,shows ALWAYS keep an eye on what the medical community is doing,,,,,,later all
