My dad got his transplant... April 27th!

Hi everyone,

I know it has been a long time since I have written. I continue to go on a read the post and info daily, but I was just tired of talking about it. Anyway, the good news is my dad was transplanted on Friday morning! He is doing very well and was moved out of ICU yesterday. I know I will have tons of questions for the future. I have become so knowledgeable about pre and now it is a bit intimidating to start over and learn about post. I want to thank everyone for the prayers, thoughts and words of encouragement! It has helped more than you could know. My positive energy goes out to all! I am off to the hospital again, but I will be on again soon! Thanks for always letting me share! (especially Teresa... you have been and inspiration and given me hope) Love to everyone!

Praise God, wishing your Dad an uneventual recovery. This gives hope to others awaiting a transplant.

Samantha, that is wonderful news!! I know how long you and your dad have been waiting for this! I hope he has a rapid recovery. Please do keep us posted.

Samantha, That is such great news!!! My computer has been sick for over a week now and I just got the news, about your father. How is he doing now? Mark keeps getting more energy everday, he was tilling in my garden yesterday (it's a very small tiller). The surgery is just amazing and the recovery is too! You have been a inspiration to me also:). Hope to hear from you soon!!!
