hey everybody

Its been awhile. my moms is still alive for now she is going down hill quicly though.

I wanted to say hi and see how everybody id doing

Hello yeah my mom sleeps 15 to 19 hours a day. Hope is good and your right there is always hope. unfornatly not for my mom. Maybe some spiritual growth. She has done treatment she didn't respond and she is not a canidate for transplant. She was told 2 years ago that she needed a transplant or she was going to die. She has end-stage liver disease. Since I was 18 she has taken medicine to control the complications, Doctor told me 2 years ago that her liver is completly cirrhatic from the cirrohsis, and it was going to start to cease function he didnt no when. So she has had hep c for 37 years. and end stage liver disease for 4 1/2 years and this past year she has turned into a really sick person. She looks so bad. She has numerous problems ranging from chronic high ammonia levels portal hpyertension and mrsa a antiboitic resistent staph infection. tremours shaking and uncontrolable face movements and so forth. Docs are saying its just a matter of time Because she has succeeded the doctors expectations. So they are dueing alot of test right now because something is wrong. They wont tell me what they are testing her for. So I'm waiting to get a phone call from her doctors. hey Please what ever you due Take care of your husband for unless he get treatment and takes excellent care of himself. I hate to say this but it wont be a good outcome. I say this because I ve knwn since I was 9 and im 23 and she has managed to exceed expectations due to listening to the docs. The medicine does work.  Yeah its a very tough situation for me and My heart deeply feels the support in this forum and its what I need as well as everybody who has found this site. Its truly a gift to learn how to grow and heal and help heal with just some words from the heart. I'm thankful!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to be talkin to my moms nurse in a little while. She has so many Doctors and nurses. This one is at the assisted living home. Her home doc ordered a bunch of test to get an idea of how her liver is function. Basically a closer look. I mean she has had end stage liver for 4 and half years. They have on Oxycodone and Morphine for pain. Her shuolder is broken in three different places. They say its due to muscle wasting. They wont give her physical therapy for it but they stared for he arm because it is her right arm. She fell on the wet ramp outside the place.  Yeah and they wont even do surgery because they think she will bleed to death. So I just want them to be good to her. I wish I could take her in but she is way to sick. So what can you do.

Mommyangel, I just want you to know that my heart goes out to you. It sounds like you had to start dealing with your mom's illness at a young age. My husband was diagnosed with cirrhosis, portal hyperstension, and varices a little over a year ago. I started noticing changes in his personality probably about a year before that. He isn't really going through any of the really bad stuff yet, and it is already almost more than I can take, so I can only imagine what you are going through. You miss the person that you loved and still love so much.
