HI EVERYONE

WAS DIAGNOSED WITH PRIMARY SCHERLOSING CHOLANGITIS (LIVER DISEASE) NOT HEP C ....

I AM ONLY 26 YEARS OLD AND MY LIVER HAS JUST APPROACHED CIRRHOSIS A FEW MONTHS AGO...I NEED ADVICE ON PSC AND PREGNANCY IF ANYONE CAN OFFER HELP...I WANT TO KNOW IF YOUR LIVER DISEASE WORSENS WHEN YOU DO CONCEIVE?! IS IT BETTER TO CONCEIVE EARLY IN CIRRHOSIS AS OPPOSED TO WAITING AS THE LIVER DISEASE ADVANCES? ANY SUGGESTIONS, COMMENTS, PLEASE HELP...THOSE WHO ALSO HAVE PSC I WOULD LOVE TO TALK AND SHARE STORIES AS WELL, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

PSC27, Just wanted to welcome you to the forum. I'm sorry but I have no knowlegde of PSC. Have you tried researching via internet. My husband has hep C and cirrhosis, and I have learned so much just by searching the web. I hope that someone else here may be able to help you.

Is there a forum on Healingwell for those who have PSC? If not, is it possible to create one? PSC (Primary sclerosing cholangitis) is a threat to UC'ers and sometimes I notice others on here from time to time who are coping with PSC, but I couldn't find a forum here where they could go to for help.

Welcome to the forum. There are several sites that have good information on PSC. You just have to google it. Duriing the beginning of my journey of seeking treatment they believed I had PSC as initially I had no markers that indicated what I later learned was autoimmune hep. I don't remember any of the ones that I have read addressing conception. If you haven't talked to your doctor about pregnancy issues then I think you should. They should be able to give you advice and advise you on any complications that could occur to you or the child.

Again welcome. There are so many people here that are willing to listen and give support. Please keep us posted on your progess.
