Ascities this week.

Hi everyone.  I hope everyone is well and hanging in there. 

I went to the Dr. on Monday.  He actually removed 1.5 litres of fluid.  He was angry that I waited so long.  Guess I should have gone to the ER.  I am now on lasix and aldactone and hopefully that will prevent it from happening many more times.

I am tired a lot this week.  I am supposed to go for a part time job interview monday.  I cant stand being home alone all the time.  I hope I have the energy for this.

I am going to bed now.  Sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys.

Hi Cheryl, It is good to hear from you. I hope you will be feeling better really soon. I hope that you will be able to handle a part time job. I'm not sure that my husband could. He is fatigued alot. He talks about getting a part time job, but I worry about it because, he gets frequent bouts of encephalopathy.

Hi, Cheryl!  I'm glad you were placed on diuretics.  They have eliminated my bouts of ascites and edema.  I adjust the dosage sometimes myself, and my docs are aware of this and okay with it.

I worked part-time out of choice (and necessity because of being so fatigued from the hep C) the last 10 years of my career.  However, the last year I probably only worked 10-15 hours a week and found that difficult.  I finally was approved for SSD in '95, thank goodness.  I really couldn't go on any more with working. 

Good luck with your interview!  You can try working p/t and see how it goes.  I don't mind being at home alone, and am usually going out somewhere 3-4 days a week.  Let us know how you are doing!
