Automatic SSDI for Hep. C - please help

Hi - I'm JELAINEP from the Lyme board, but I have a question about Hep. C:

It seems as though I recently ran accross something saying that SSDI has kind of "fast-tracked" certain diseases/illnesses for SSDI approval.  But, I can't find "the list" now.  I know that Lyme isn't on it but, (believe it or not) I'm helping a friend fill out Medicare paperwork today.  He has Hep. C and failed the interfuron treatments.... and I think maybe this was on the "list".  It's the LD impaired leading the liver disease impaired into battle with SSDI - haha!

Does anyone have this list?  Or can you refer me to a site with the list?

At one time, to be approved for SSDI based on hep C, one had to have a certain bilirubin value.  It seems that they are now taking other things into consideration, but they probably would expect a patient to try treatment. 

I know that SS did decide to "fast track" some illnesses to eliminate the backlog of cases.
