HCV therapy

Hello, my name is Betty. I'm 46.I was diagnosed with hepatitis C last year. I'm genotype 1 and with viral load 1.36E+4 IU/ml,which I was told is low. My biopsy results are G2,S0, which again, I was told are not bad. I have decided to go through with Copegus therapy. Tomorrow it will be my 37th week (out of 48). I was tested wirus undetected in my 4th,12th and 24th week. I'd like to meet other people,who are going through this type of therapy and discuss the side effects. Beside being tired (weak) and having problems focusing I don't have any major problems with the Peginterferon&Ribavirin combination therapy. I'd like to also meet people who went through this therapy.I'm worried about the final result (6 mos after) and I'm worried about the possible comeback (?). Hello Connie. Thank you for your reply. You're right. My husband does have HBV. We new about it for many years. Last year I found out about my HCV. Connie, Copegus is Ribavirin.I meant to write Pegasys RBV, which is combination of Peginterferon alfa-2a and ribavirin. sorry about the typo. One of the side effects is lack of concentration. I find myself making many mistakes. My husband,unfortunately,refuses to go on treatment. The reason is (in his words) lack of 100% guarantee and yet difficult therapy. He wants to wait for newer and better drugs. I hope he's right. He does take care of himself (no alcohol,healthy diet,etc) but I know the virus is not sleeping. As far as I remember (we are a highschool sweethearts) he's always been constantly tired. Lately (he's 46 now) it shows even more. Other than that he doesn't complain much.
