Hello, I seem to not get the whole seroconversion thing. If a patient (with HBV) is HBeAg positive, the goal is to have seroconversion to HBeAg negative, right? But I've been reading that HBeAg negative patients are responding less to treatment and are at higher risk of developing serious liver problems. Than why is the HBeAg seroconversion so important? Can someone explain it to me,please? thank you kindly-Betty.
