Hi Connie, Rick, PG and all,

Hope you all had a nice, loving Christmas. I hope everyone has a very Happy, Healthy New Yearsmile

Rick are you and the family getting ready for Disney? I sure can use some warm weather here. The temp. today with the wind chill factor was -13. I'd rather be in N.C.,Fl,or Calif. any where warmer than Pa.

Hope all is well with everyone. Take care and as always my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

DeeDee, it's chilly here in N. FL--a high of 51 today, sunny and windy.  Jan. and Feb. are usually our coldest months.  Rick, if you're planning to go to Orlando, March or April would be better weather-wise.

20 inches of snow.... here in the Fargo/Moorhead area (North Dakota/Minnesota border).... temps  dipping to 17 below... with 25 below wind chill.... and snow drifts four feet deep from the front of my driveway to the back... 10 hours of shoveling.... by self of course... Mike can't help... but Praise God for the energy to do it... I'd say we're off to a good start... but we're not complaining.... our winters are mild compared to what they have been... and wow 51 that sounds just heavenly... allthough a damp 51 can chill one to the bone...

we're waiting for the big trip to Mayo... Mike's hanging in there... I'm worried to death about finances and hoping they get most of what they need done next week... I can't afford to lose any more time... at least not this month...well, guess God will provide.. and I'm thankful for the PTO for this time and the finances to do it... there are so many silver linings...

we were flood victims this year... and the new house we moved into is more fuel efficient that we thought... so we're saving money... and electricity is lower too... so we're thankful for those things...between trying to balance the budget ... coordinate appointments... work overtime... etc.... I'm just plain forgetful... but hanging in there... thank God for my dogs... Ace and Buddy... they have been a joy to watch in the snow... and they make us smile every day... rescued Ace from the pound a month ago and it's the best money I ever spent... he is a joy... the other dust mop is Mike's and wish he'd go live somewhere else... he's stubborn and likes to run... Ace follows me everywhere and adores me... what's not to like about that... and oh, he gives such nice warm sloppy wet kisses..... oh, yeah ... Buddy does too.. well... thanks Rick for sharing and everyone else too..... Sandi (arneeb)

Rick, I'm sorry your family had to experience a death during the holidays, but you still have much to be thankful for.  So glad to learn that the niece doesn't have leukemia.

Please do keep me informed as your FL plans are made.

Hi all,  It started out very foggy this morning.....by 10am it burned off and was over cast all day at just about 51 degrees (funny huh Connie)....this evening it's sprinkling......so much for sunny California.....haven't seen the sun in days....

 

Sandi, your story could have been mine. Dogs included.  Except for the flood and snow.  Sometimes now it seems like it was someone else's life.  

Rick,  you keep everyone's spirits up with your tales....thank you.

Well I hate to say it but I love the snow....up to my butt.....which I guess isnt that deep when your a 5 footer, I love the cold too. I like my heat on 60-62 and still open bedroom window. Dont pull out the winter gear till maybe feb. I was in my glories when we got our Nor'easter and it dumped 22 inches in my town......love it love it! I get like a kid still and jump around clapping and giggling. It take a couple days to find my little bug.... but all went well and I found her as it was the only half round snow drift in the lot...lol. Soooo send the snow my way thank you

well we are getting the snow here too. conditions are the worst it has been in years. two weeks the snow has styed which is very unusual, but good for the kids.
One good thing about it is that everyone pulls together and helps each other. I have never seen so many abandonded cars....Not as bad as it is for Arneeb, so I cannot complain.
Rick, i am so glad to hear of the wrong diagnosis for your neice, 2009 has been a hard year for many of us, hopefully 2010 will bring some good news.

Rick, I'm sorry to hear of your loss during the holidays but, I'm glad your niece is healthy(no leukemia) God does work in mysterious ways. How are you feeling? Besides being annoyed by your wifes ex.  I know how you must feel since my son goes through similar problems. Hope all is well.
