Good News. The tips procedure has made my portal vein grossly patent. It used to be very small without blood flow because of my clot. There is some residual clot where the shunt and portal vein meet, but it is not blocking blood flow. When I go in for another tips check in April, they will recheck it and do a balloon procedure if they deem it necessary.
My lesion did not show up well on the scan, but it looks like it is the same size as January, 1.1cm. They do not think it is cancerous at this time because the scan did not show blood flowing to the tumor. They will do an MRI in June to keep an eye on it.
So aside from biweekly labs for UNOS, and the tips check, I have no other liv er procedures scheduled until June.
In April, I visit my urologist for his thoughts on my kidney scan and the results of a 24 hour urine collection. In May, I see my internist for my annual exam, pap smear, and orders for mammography.
And I may even get time for myself.

Great news, Susie! Enjoy the weeks you don't have anything scheduled. I go through it all tomorrow...then, hopefully, I'll be good for another 6 mos.
Hugs,
Connie
