Dear Wife of drinker-natasha

I am also from england and i have read your posts. Bloody.....girl can u can't half talk for an english girl!!!!!

Anyway I have followed your posts and my heart goes out to you. My sister has outlived her two year prognosis of two years. She has ESLD complicated by Hep c. She drinks 700ml of whiskey per day and 3 to 4 cans of cider per day. She has ascites and portal hypertension, varices, copd, heart failure, mssa,etc,etc!!!! My sister Phil is tough otherwise she wouldnt be alive. All people with this disease are different. HOWEVER if your partner does not have Hep c and you can get him to rehab he has a chance of survival and a quality of life. My sister does not and she has made a compus mentus decision!!!!!

Connie I am English and we are so anal, us Brits its, beyond belief. I always have to do a deep breath to post here!! And I am 44vyears old......no hope!!

Anyway Connie your results come through on the day of the Royal Wedding here in England. I think you are are an extremely brave and admirable person. I hope that one day I can aspire to the kind of person that you are. x mandy

Thanks, Mandy.  Nice to see you posting.  Isn't it amazing the amount of abuse the body can take?  And here I am, doing all the right things, and I get liver cancer again.  Go figure.  Okay, I'm partly responsible since I didn't do hep C treatment, but there were solid reasons for that.  Guess I'm paying the piper now.

Don't feel bad about your decision, Connie. A lot of this stuff is a crap shoot. I've often wondered whether doing the first interferon/ribavirin therapy back in 2004, when my liver was in decent condition didn't help cause my hemorrhage. I don't regret what I did, because I had a virus, wanted to rid myself of it and did all of the right things. That wasn't enough and here we are. So Connie, you can't look back and wonder what if you'd tried the combo.

hi, mandy, yeah i do like to go on!! he he!! i think its down to the fact that i only have the children to talk to most days when i get a free run i just go for it! he he! connie does have such great courage and is so open and very to the point which i love! i keep saying it but everyone on here is so great. im sure they all wonder at my ramblings but hopefully everyone will just see it for what it is and im sure if i was beggining to annoy, connie would tell me!!!xxxx natasha.xxx
