  hi all, hope you are all having a good day? i have another question regarding hubby!, the doctor increased his lactulose last week but for the last two days he has not been able to stop going to the toilet, he seems to think its the lactulose but would it make this sort of an impact? especially as in the last three days he has only eaten some noodles. is this a cause for concern or normal? x natasha.x  confused

Oh yes and that's what its supposed to do......and its a good thing...keeps the ammonia levels down.....and lessens the confusion...keep on sitting on the throne...its a good thing....the experts can tell u frequency rates abd consistency and all that....Sandi

Hi WOD,
When I was taking lactulose, it wasn't unusual to hit the head anywhere between 4-8 times a day. The trips were quick ones as nothing solid issued forth for 5 years that I used it. To me, constant diarrhea was the worst part of dealing with a failing liver. Not taking lactulose would have been worse.

very true david, though i think the doc might have to increase it even more as he seems to be having funny turns once or twice every day for a couple of hours each time. gosh how lovely it is to discuss hubbys bowel movements where no one bats an eyelid!!! he he he

Yea, Natasha, I can't imagine going to my parents for Easter and sitting around the table discussing bowel movements! Ha!
We can only do that here.....But, that's what's so great about this...you can say anything and nobody notices if you fidget or your face turns red. He He He He.............................

SW, You have to have your cursor (the blinking thing) placed where you want the emoticon and allow space for it.  Then click on the one you want and it should show up where you want it.

This is what I get when I click on them?? Post reply is what I always choose because I don't see a quick reply....It just puts the words there instead of the 'Emoticon....Maybe it's my computer, who knows, or maybe it's the operator! :)

Well, you got them SW...that's what they should look like.  I think the ones at the top are for the topic...but I've never used them.  Quick Reply should be there if you scroll down past Reply.
